Training “Knowledge transfer and commercialization of university research” and Steering Committee of ERASMUS+ ECOIMPACT PROJECT Meeting
at Bratislava, Slovak Republic
On 11–19 April, 2018 Steering Committee meeting of ERASMUS + ECOIMPACT- project “Adaptive learning environment for competence in economic and societal impacts of local weather, air quality and climate” and the Training on knowledge transfer and commercialization of university research were held at Bratislava (Slovakia).
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was represented at the meeting of the coordination group by Head of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology Professor S. Snizhko. The meeting was aimed to the discussing of the progress in the implementation of the project objectives and the action plan for the next project period.
The key figure and the leading trainer of the training on the knowledge transfer and commercialization of university research was Dr. A. Vitrenko, Acting Deputy Dean for Research and International Cooperation of Economic Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Professor S. Snizhko, Associate Professor of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology Dr. O. Shevchenko, Associate Professor Dr. R. Oliynyk and Dr. A. Krukivska participated in this training.
The purpose of the training was studying of intellectual property (IP) concept, essence and structure of intellectual property rights (IPR), mechanisms and principles of IPR-commercialization, tools for financing the economic turnover of IPR objects, methods and mechanisms for IPR assessment and protection. A lot of attention was paid to the methods of commercialization of the university research results and the mechanism of transformation of intellectual property into intellectual capital.
The training was conducted in the form of lectures and workshops in small groups activities. During the workshops all participant have gained experience of the creation and presentation of business projects about commercialization of R&D results in area of ECOIMPACT project.
